About Me
Hello! I’m a personal chef, cookbook editor, and recipe developer based in New York City and a graduate of the Classic Culinary Arts program at the International Culinary Center (formerly French Culinary Institute).
My first foray into food media began with an unpaid summer internship at The Daily Meal. At the conclusion of the internship, I was brought on board as the full-time recipe editor for the Cook vertical. Over the course of two years, I curated and edited more than 3,000 recipes from leading chefs, cookbook authors, and bloggers from across the country and around the globe. I also ran the site’s test kitchen, as well as the in-house recipe contest and column featuring a different theme every week, Recipe SWAT Team. Participants developed recipes from scratch and brought them in to be professionally styled and photographed. I won a trip to the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival when one of my recipes was selected by chef Guy Grossi, Australia’s leading Italian chef, to be cooked for a group of food media peers.
Since moving on from The Daily Meal, I have written six cookbooks (the next slated to be released this fall) and contributed to Edible Manhattan, Edible Brooklyn, and Brooklyn Magazine. I was the lead recipe tester for the R&D kitchen at Maple, an app-based delivery service that brought seasonal dishes created by in-house chefs straight to people’s doorsteps, and most recently served on the culinary team at Blue Apron.
I am currently working as a developmental editor at Penguin Random House and a copy editor and proofreader at Callisto Media, specializing in cookbooks.
